This is the first time in the history of Apple! The new iPhone- will come with a (24MP) front camera
The world is always watching to see what cutting-edge features Apple is going to add to their next iPhone model. The US company launched the iPhone 15 series last September. The iPhone 16 lineup is slated to launch around the same time this year. However, rumors have already started about next year's iPhone lineup. And now a well-known Apple product analyst has revealed Apple's plans for the iPhone 17. He claimed that the selfie camera of the upcoming iPhone is coming with a major upgrade.
The iPhone 17 series will feature a 24-megapixel selfie camera :-
Technology analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that the front camera of the iPhone 17 series will be upgraded If his claim is true, the iPhone 17 will have an unprecedented 24-megapixel front camera, which will be a huge upgrade from the current 12-megapixel used in the iPhone 14 and iPhone 15. Let it be known that since 2019 they have been using a 12 MP camera on the front.
Ming-Chi Kuo claims the increased resolution will enable sharper and more detailed selfies. 24 megapixels can maintain quality even after cropping photos. He also said that Taiwanese company Yujingguang will supply the new lens system for iPhone 17. It can be 100 to 120 percent more expensive than current 5P lens systems. So buying the iPhone 17 series is likely to cost more.
Notably, the same Taiwan-based company is said to be working on a periscope lens setup for the iPhone 16 Pro as well. Both models of the Pro series, are said to feature an enhanced zoom camera. This feature is currently limited to the larger and more expensive iPhone 15 Pro Max. The iPhone 16 Pro series is expected to include a high-resolution 48-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens (0.7 micrometers/(1/2.6 inch), joining a 48-megapixel wide-angle lens on an iPhone for the first time. In addition, it is believed that the telephoto lens of the upcoming iPhone model may retain the resolution of 12 megapixels.
It is also rumored that the iPhone 17 Pro will come with under-panel Face ID technology. But despite this upgrade, the circular cutout above the display for the front camera will remain. However, insiders claim, instead of circular cutouts, Apple's 2027 "Pro" iPhone models will feature under-display cameras, bringing a literal "all-screen" look.
