Not only the amazing camera, the Oppo Reno 12 series will have a powerful Snapdragon processor

In November last year, Oppo announced a new premium mid-range smartphone series in its home market named Reno 11. Recently this lineup has also been available in international markets like Malaysia and India. Therefore, the Oppo Reno 11 series is only three months old. However, it has already been reported that Oppo has started working on its successor i.e. Reno 12 series. Even recently the features of the upcoming series have been leaked online.

 Popular tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS) recently revealed some of the key features of the upcoming Oppo Reno 12 series via its Weibo handle. As claimed by the tipster, this lineup will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 series sub-flagship platform. In this regard, the latest flagship chip of the semiconductor company is Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. As a result, there is a possibility that the Oppo Reno 12 series will debut with the older generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor.

 At the same time, the tipster also said that the rumored series could get a more advanced periscope camera. The successor, in this regard, is expected to offer an even more impressive telephoto sensor than the predecessors Oppo Reno 10 Pro+ and Reno 11 Pro. Notably, both the devices offer 3x and 2x optical zoom. Hence, the tipster claims that the upcoming Oppo Reno 12 series is likely to increase the optical zoom capacity.

No confirmed launch date or timeline for the Oppo Reno 12 series has been revealed. But the company follows a special strategy in announcing their Reno-series. As the Oppo Reno 9 series debuted in November 2022 and its successor the Oppo Reno 10 series launched in May 2023. Oppo Reno 11 series was announced in November 2023. As a result, it is likely that the Oppo Reno 12 series will be unveiled in May 2024.
